April 07, 2004 - Sadr City, Iraq - A follower of Shiite radical leader Moqtada al-Sadr and member of Mehdi militia lets his nephew play with an AK47 in Sadr city. The child with the gun makes a frightening image of war. Coalition soldiers across Iraq are reported to be engaged in fresh clashes with Sunni and Shia militants. General Ricardo Sanchez said the militia loyal to radical Shia cleric Moqtada Sadr, which started the current violence over last weekend, would be pursued in a 'robust' manner until their leader was no longer a threat. Hospital officials say that over 300 have been killed in Falluja, where bodies lay in the streets. At least 30 coalition soldiers have been killed.
